Manage First Aid in the Workplace (MFAW) - HLTFA403A

This unit addresses the establishment and maintenance of facilities to enable or facilitate the provision of appropriate first aid in the workplace. This unit incorporates: establish and manage a workplace first aid facility, manage workplace first aid records, evaluate the provision of first aid in the workplace, knowledge of the hazards of your working environment and current workplace health and safety legislation is also studied.

The required outcomes described in this unit of competency contain applicable facets of Employability Skills. The Employability Skills Summary of the qualification in which this unit of competency is packaged will assist in identifying Employability Skill requirements.

Each participant will receive a Statement of Attainment for Managing First Aid in the Workplace, MFAW Handbook, First Aid Advisory Standard and Hazchem wallet card and other resources as required.

The Managing First Aid in the Workplace course is conducted over 8 hours.

MFAW is designed for Industry groups, Workplace First Aiders and Emergency Service Personnel who wish to enhance their basic skills with advanced skills, especially where there is a First Aid Room or where the risk of injury and illness in high to extreme.

This unit should be assessed either after or in conjunction with achievement of the following related competency unit:

HLTFA402A Apply Advanced First Aid

The minimum number of persons required to hold this course is 6, however do not hesitate to contact our Customer Service Team as we may have a suitable public course or other arrangements.

Competency Acquisition every 3 years.
